NAL SWE members joined in the fun as judges and were amazed by the innovative and insightful presentations shared. We want to congratulate all of today’s participants on a job well done! |

| Girls in Science and Engineering Day Committee We are signed up to help with Girls in Science and Engineering Day (GSED) this upcoming April! GSED is a day of hands-on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) activities designed for girls in the 3rd and 4th grade in the morning and 5th and 6th grade in the afternoon. In preparation, we need committee volunteers to help us decide on what workshop we want to host with students. We need both committee members and a committee chair; use the form below to sign up! | Grace’s Girls’ Club Grace’s Girls’ Club, hosted by Grace Anello on WAAY 31 News, is a place for everyone, especially young women and girls, to learn about STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) careers. Grace reached out asking for members who are interested in participating in brief interviews to talk about their careers, including their day-to-day activities and what education they pursued to get there. | Behind the Scenes Scholarships General Dynamics is providing funding for our section to start a scholarship for graduating high school seniors in our area! Awards Committee The Awards Committee is working on developing an awards program for the section–thank you Lindsey and Suki! Essay Contest We already have some submissions and are gearing up for the final stretch. The contest committee is wrapping up the marketing and will be moving forward with picking the physical prizes for this year. |

You can check with your HR representative to see if your company participates or ask us to see a general list of companies that have historically had programs What time counts? Any time volunteered on behalf of the organization counts, including leadership activities, time spent on a committee, and outreach What will NAL SWE do with the Dollars for Doers money?
