| New Futures Outreach Event Event Date: July TBA We are excited for our third year of leading camps with New Futures! New Futures is the only homeless shelter in north Alabama that allows families to reside in a unit together. Year-round, they have up to 25 children on-site at any time. Planning Meeting Tuesday, June 9, at 6:30 PM via Google Meet Join us to help brainstorm activities. Anyone is welcome to join and help plan for the event! Join Donations We are asking for donations to help cover the cost for the event, including activity supplies and providing lunch for our campers. | Presidential Volunteer Service Award NAL SWE is a certifying organization for the Presidential Volunteer Service Award, and we are providing free awards to all members. If you are interested in earning an award, send us a record of your service hours from July 2024 – June 2025; we can certify hours volunteered outside of SWE as well. The SWE Recognition Program acknowledges members, SWE groups, and organizations for their accomplishments, such as patents, and their support of the SWE mission, goals and objectives through excellence in programming.
